José Andrés Sánchez Abarrio

José Andrés Sánchez Abarrio has a PhD in Biblical Theology from the Faculty of Theology of Northern Spain and a Licentiate in Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome (2012). After several research stays at the École Biblique et Archéologique Française in Jerusalem (2016-2019), he defended his doctoral thesis in Biblical Theology on the prophetic texts of the second millennium BC.
He is currently director of the Area of Religious Sciences at La Salle Campus Madrid and of the Higher Institute of Religious and Catechetical Sciences “San Pío X”, where he teaches Old Testament subjects. Dedicated to teacher training, he is a professor of Religious Education in the Faculty of Education at La Salle Campus Madrid, where he has directed several theses on childhood spirituality. Since 2019 he has been an accredited Godly Play trainer.
